The following article is from the Haskayne web site, February 2005:
MBA students help launch Calgary's newest chocolatier
While traveling through Europe, entrepreneur Bruce Toy discovered Coppeneur chocolates in Germany. It was love at first taste and he was intent on sharing his new discovery with Canadians.
Bruce engaged the MBA Consulting Alliance (MBACA), a Calgary-based management consulting organization employing Haskayne MBA students, to help him evaluate the feasibility of bringing Coppeneur to Calgary.
After a favourable outcome from the MBACA's feasibility study, Bruce developed a partnership agreement with Coppeneur to own the exclusive rights for distributing Coppeneur chocolates in Canada. Bruce started operating five months ago, working within the Sunterra market retail environments predominantly, and plans to expand to franchise stores in major cities across Canada.
Coppeneur chocolates are sold at Sunterra Market in Westmarket Square & Britannia and at the Sweet Shoppe in Banff.
The MBA Consulting Alliance (MBACA)
